- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Rotator cuff surgery was performed at the end of February 2017 - two tears - one old and one new. Dr. Hocker's patient rep & team was exceptional providing answers above and beyond. Dr. Hocker's surgical skills are exemplary and his willingness to explain the processes utilized were filled with patience and zeal. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr. Shawn Hocker has been Orthopedic doctor since 2007. Simply put, you won't find a better Orthopedic Surgeon in Wilmington NC anywhere. His knowledge, skill, and superior attitude both in the hospital and at his offices is unmatched. I broke my neck in 3-places and am 70-100% paralyzed from the chest down. I suffered a compete rupture and multiple full thickness tears of my rotator cuff and 4 basic muscles that make it up. 40 years of using my arms as my legs to move around, transfer from wheelchairs and pushing on two canes have left both shoulders in catastrophic failure. Even my own other doctors have said if they needed Orthopedic Surgery, they would use Dr. Hocker. Should you ever need an Orthopedic Surgeon for any health problem he is the best one to call upon.
