  This is the worst experience we've ever had at a doctor's office. The receptionist was horrible. She was extremely rude and uncaring. Our two month old son had a fever, upset stomach, and was congested and crying all night. She turned to her friend and said, "Hmm, a crying baby. I dont think there's anything we can do about a crying baby. Do you?"

  I was shocked to read the only other review of Dr. Meisel! Are there two Dr. Meisels in Wilmington? He is the best doctor I have ever been to. I first met him when I was looking for a pediatrician for my newborn. He has always been thorough, deliberate and demonstrated great patience with my questions even on a few occasions when I was the last appointment of the day and everybody in the building had left and turned out the lights leaving just us in the examination room. As a father of four, he appreciates how concerned parents can be and provides reassurance when appropriate. He is not the kind of doctor to prescribe medication and rush you out the door but will often take a wait and see approach to his diagnosis to avoid unnecessarily dispensing medication. He has even cut us a few price breaks on treatments. If I had one complaint, it would be with WHA, the practice he works for, but it does not deter me from using him as our family doctor. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I am sorry the other reviewer had such a bad experience.
